What is Nike plastic in disc golf?
Quest AT makes disc golf discs and they have introduced ‘nike’ plastic. I have an ongoing debate with a friend who thinks Nike, Inc. makes this plastic so please help me out, thanks.

It’s probably just another type of plastic that could be more durable or offer extra grip. Nike is more than likely not the manufacturer of this plastic. Nike probably has their name on it to increase sales.
Nike is the winged goddess of victory. Nike, Inc is named after this mythological greek goddess. I’m betting the nike plastic was just named after the goddess of victory bc with these you will be able to beat your opponent. marketing ploy…
its just a guess of mine. as far as i know, nike doesn’t make golf discs associated with Quest AT….i could be wrong but i searched their site and other numerous sites and didn’t come across them.
Here’s what the manufacturer (Quest) says about their “Nike Plastic” line:
“Quest AT Nike ULTRALIGHT TPR is a high test Thermal Plastic Rubber made without any fillers. Most āSā and āDXā plastics use cheap fillers to reduce the cost and increase company profits. Quest does not add these worthless materials in their Nike blend.”
We had one of these and it feels good in your hand, may be good for beginners…but they are not very durable
dispite the manufacturers claims.
I agree with rme – probably named after Nike the winged goddess…just as the shoe co. used her
